Bio

Hello!  I am originally from Texas but attended elementary school in México and later graduated from Ysleta high school in El Paso Texas.  I received an Associates Degree in communications from Flathead Community College in Montana and a BA in foreign languages with specialization in Spanish from Austin Peay State University in TN.  I'm currently attending Murray for a Master's Degree in TESOL.  I am fluent in both English and in Spanish.

I've traveled across the United States, Canada and Mexico.  I attended Mexican universities through study abroad in college.  I also attended elementary school in Mexico. We had two homes while growing up, one in Mexico with "abuelita" and another in El Paso Texas where we spent the weekends. I had the privilege to grow up speaking both languages and appreciating both cultures.  My children are bilingual and fluent in at least two languages. I love and respect all cultures.  I've taught middle and high school and love both.

I have a passion for the Spanish language, culture and enjoy teaching it! I set high expectations and I've seen students excel them.  I enjoy working with our youth and I'm a tiger fan.  Three of my children have graduated from HHS and lived in foreign countries such as Brazil, Mexico and Costa Rica.  All of us are fluent in at least two languages.

I support students afterschool curriculum such as marching band, cross country, and track.
