Education

Mr. Peveler earned a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree in 2012 from Murray State University. While at Murray State, he participated in numerous ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra, Racerband, and Slide Advantage Trombone Ensemble. While in these ensembles Peveler has had the honor of performing at Chicago’s famous Orchestra Hall and at the Eastern Trombone Workshop in Washington D.C. Peveler, is a proud Alumni of Muhlenberg North High School under the direction of Joe Allen and Troy Stovall.  Peveler professional affiliations include the Kentucky Music Educators’ Association, theNAfMe, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.


 



Bio

Seth Peveler was appointed Director of Bands for Hopkinsville High School in 2014. Responsibilities include directing the Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, and 6th grade bands at South Christian and Martin Luther King Jr. Elemenetary Schools.

After college, Peveler accepted the role of Assistant Band Director in the Harrisburg School District in Harrisburg, Arkansas.  During his one year at Harrisburg Schools, Peveler, took the middle school band to its first ever concert assessment and received the rating of excellence and helped the Harrisburg High School Marching Band go undeafeted in class 2A.  Peveler, also served as the Assistant baseball coach and helped lead the team to the school’s first District Championship, first Regional Tournament Championship, and finished the year in the Elite 8 of the Arkansas Baseball State Tournament.

During his tenure, the Hopkinsville High School Band of Tigers has made the Kentucky Music Educators Marching Band State Finals for the first time in school history, won the KMEA 4A West regional in the first time in the schools history, accumulated six grand champion trophies,  received multiple Straight Distinguished Ratings at the Third District Concert Assessment Festival, Placed over 30 students into KMEA Third District All- District Bands, 4 students into KMEA All State Bands including Hopkinsville High Schools first ever KMEA All-State Jazz musician.

Mr. Peveler resides in Hopkinsville with his wife Hannah Peveler Esq. and their Yorkshire Terroir Leonidas Peveler.
